New players start in spawn until a lawa approves their short application. Java and Bedrock both work.

You don't need any toki pona to play. Everything you need to pick it up is built into chat.

/nimi <word> · look up any word, or search from English
hover a toki pona word in chat to see what it means (on by default, /nimi gloss toggles it)
/mi <headnoun> · pick your own headnoun as a chat prefix

checking who is online

1. Be kind. o pona tawa jan pi kama sona (be patient with learners!)

2. Don't grief or steal outside your claim. Use /trust <name> for friends.

3. No cheating or hacked clients. jan lawa li lawa (listen to staff)

4. Have fun, and speak some toki pona if you feel like it!

5. New players stay in spawn until a lawa approves them:

- /claim <radius> claims around where you stand (e.g. /claim 30).

- Or hold a golden shovel: right-click two corners to claim a box.

- Golden shovel on a claim corner = drag it to resize.

- Hold a stick and right-click to see who owns a block.

- You start with 500 claim blocks and earn more as you play: fast at first, slower later.

Linking your Discord (/discord link) adds 500. Bringing a friend (/kama) adds 400.

- Your first chest auto-claims a small area around it.

- /trust <name> lets a friend build, /untrust <name> undoes it.

- /claimlist, /abandonclaim (stand in it), /trustlist.

- Expiry: a first-chest claim lasts 30 days unless you expand it with the shovel.

Unused claims go after 60 days; any claim after 90 days with no visit or activity.

Keep playing and your claims stay.
